부정대명사  one을 해석할 순 있어도 의식하면서 사용한적은 없는거 같다

앞에 나온 명사를 설명할때 사용하는 one!

복수일때 ones라고 쓰는데 뭔가 one에 s를 붙는게 어색하다...

 

1. I prefer there shoes to the ones (that) I bought last year

2. the new books are much more interesting than the old ones that we read last semester

 3. when choosing a new laptop, make sure to compare the features of different ones to find the best fit for your needs

 

** 부정대명사 one 뒤에 that s+v 가 반드시 와야하진 않는다 

 

"I prefer these apples to the ones on the top shelf."

• 이 경우 "ones"는 "the apples"를 의미하지만, "that" 절 없이 직접적으로 비교한다.

1. the report is expected to be completed by the ends of the week

2. the package is supposed to be delivered by tomorrow

3. the project is likely to be finished ahead of schedule

 

 

1. there's no denying that tech has changed the way we live 

2. there's no escaping the fact that we have to meet the deadline

3. there's no denying that they interrupt my decisions and thinking

4. There's no point in arguing about it any further.

그것에 대해 더 이상 논쟁할 필요가 없다.

 

 

 

 

 

altogether (부사)

: 전반적으로, 전체적으로, 

= entirely, totally

- altogether, the project took six months to complete

 

- we need to consider the costs altogether before making a decision

 

all together

: 함께  

= all in one place, all at once

- let's get all together for a group photo

- the kids were all together at the park
